thin film solar cells dye uptake efficiency
Abstract:
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) represent a new frontier in solar cell technology. This study looks at the influence of N719 dye used within the cell. The dye forms a monolayer on the TiO2 surface and acts as source for the re-dox reaction that drives the cell. Using electrodes constructed from both structured thin film TiO2 and colloidal paste TiO2 upon conductive glass, cells were constructed and their efficiency was investigated.
