Abstract:
The sports world loves statistics. Coaches, analysts, and fans use them to make coaching decisions, measure talent, and prove greatness. These statistics should be easily and accurately recorded. This thesis looks at the design of systems currently available for keeping basketball statistics, and presents a new Android app as a carefully-designed alternative. Two different app designs are tested by a set of real users, and the results are evaluated to make progress toward an easy-to-use, error-preventing basketball stat-keeping system.
