Abstract:
This paper seeks to analyze historical data on private market funds to support the hypothesis that private credit will be the next major area of focus for both General Partners (GPs) and Limited Partners (LPs) in coming years. By utilizing quantitative data on the private market fundraising environment, historical returns of private market funds, and qualitative data on GP and LP outlook on different private market funds this paper will provide evidence in support of this hypothesis with analysis specifically centered on private equity, private credit, and private real estate funds.
