Abstract:
This thesis explores the application of automated digital microscope camera system to capture and create high-quality macro photos. The focus is to build an efficient and cheap microscope camera system and use this automated system to create insect datasets in reduced workload. Some works demonstrate the design of digital microscope camera slide using 3D modeling tools and software programming processes. This thesis also explores how to combine photos with different depths of field that taken with this camera system as high quality and deep depth of field macro photos through the focus stacking algorithm in PhotoShop software. The thesis also demonstrates the potential of this automated digital microscope camera system in producing high-quality insect image dataset efficiently.
