Abstract:
The Traveler’s Recollections follows the titular Traveler, as he makes his way across the United States through the ages. In this particular anthology of his stories, a reader will walk along through the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Thunderchild asks what would rural farmers do with a child born of a lightning bolt out in the mountains. Road Spirits tells of how ghosts still cruise between the hills. The Machine of York looks at how even in a degrading factory, someone keeps the faint coals of industry alive. Finally, the Mummy of Appalachia follows a miner burned in and explosion, spending his life wrapped in bandage and sifting through the wreckage of what once was.
